What is NCPAT?
NCPAT is a networking and support organization for professionals from programs in North Carolina who provide intervention and psycho-educational services for perpetrators of domestic violence.
What Do We Do?
Domestic violence intervention is a relatively new field. The main function of NCPAT is to build
on our expanding knowledge base and to serve as a catalyst for new and more effective approaches. We provide victim services
with our primary concerns of safety and well being of the victim and their family. We hold abusers accountable
for their behaviors.
What Do We Believe?
The individuals and organizations affiliated with NCPAT have a vision of strengthening
families and eliminating domestic violence. We believe that perpetrators of domestic violence should assume
sole responsibility for their abuse behaviors.
Who Can Join?
Agencies with a certified program, who meet the criteria of the North Carolina
Council for Women providing batterers intervention programs to perpetrators of domestic violence.
Individuals who are supportive of the purposes of the organization and the needs of the victims of domestic violence.
